Outstanding Advisor of the Year Award:
The Outstanding Advisor of the Year Award is intended for Advisors, may include RA Liaison or RHD, that play a key role in the success of residential student organizations. They are the stronghold of the executive board, serving as the troubleshooter, mentor, and support system. The Advisor of the Year recipient is truly the epitome of a role model to their residents, staff, and executive board.
Outstanding Executive Board Member of the Year Award:
The Outstanding Executive Board Member of the Year goes to an individual that has tirelessly worked to impact residential life in many ways throughout their organization, and has contributed to organizing events and leading their group towards success. This award intends to recognize one particular executive board member who goes beyond the call of duty to truly give it their all.
Outstanding First Year Executive Board Member Award:
The Outstanding First Year award is intended for a student who is new to Hall Council Executive Board affiliation for this academic year. This student has demonstrated high achievements and leadership ability within their residence hall, serving as a positive role model to the residential community and will continue to thrive within their future leadership roles.
Unsung Hero Award:
The unsung hero award is intended for an individual who continuously goes above and beyond to make a substantial, yet potentially unrecognized contribution. This person may not have the loudest voice within a community, but makes a tremendous impact. They know when to speak their mind and how to make others feel welcome. They are often one of the most driven individuals and are catalysts for many successful initiatives.
The Veteran Award:
The Veteran Award goes to an individual who has served on any Hall Council Executive Board for 3 or more semesters. They are not only great role models for their peers, but embody the passion to advocate and serve Campus Residences. Their time of service has become a true testimonial of their dedication to make an impact on both a large and small scale in the community. They have become mentors to their new executive board member peers, being a great asset to their team, and helping to sustain a good foundation for the future of their council.
Excellence in Parliamentary Procedure Award (RHA nominated + Selected):
This award recognizes a Senator or Vice President member who has been observed to maintain efficient usage of Parliamentary procedure during all Executive Board Meetings and/or General Body Meetings in order to uphold courtesy and efficiency. Councils may be observed to conduct business under Parliamentary procedure by individuals who are present at executive board meetings and/or general body meetings.
